This policy explains what information Expense Manager collects, how it is used and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address when you create an account or sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Expense data you enter: expense titles, amounts, categories, dates, notes, your custom categories and your monthly budget.
• App identifiers: a Firebase account ID and a Firebase Cloud Messaging token, used to keep you signed in and to deliver app notifications.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, bank or card details. Expense Manager does not connect to bank accounts and does not move money.

2. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account.
• To store and sync your expenses so they are available when you sign in.
• To show your totals, budget, charts and history inside the app.
• To send app notifications, if you allow them.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Expense Manager does not show ads.

3. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database), operated by Google LLC. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Security rules ensure that only you can read or change your own expenses. See Firebase privacy and security.

4. Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except with Google as our hosting provider (above), or if required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In the app: open the menu (⋮) on the Expenses screen and choose Delete account.
• Without the app: follow the steps at techhigh.co.uk/expense-manager-delete-account.

When you delete your account, your account details and all expense data are permanently removed from our database.

6. Children

Expense Manager is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
